About Neetu Mohanan
Neetu Mohanan is an aspiring elementary educator based in Tracy, California, originally from Kerala, India. She is completing her credential through Residency@TCSJ (Residency at Teachers College of San Joaquin), a teacher preparation program focused on developing reflective, equity-minded practitioners for Central Valley classrooms.
Education & professional background
Neetu earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala (2013), and completed a Post Graduate Program in Business Analysis and Business Intelligence through the University of Texas McCombs School of Business and Great Learning (2020). She is pursuing an MCA in Artificial Intelligence at Amrita University (expected 2026).
Before entering teacher preparation, Neetu worked as a Java Developer at Infleca Innovation Pvt Ltd (2019–2021), where she built Spring Boot applications and collaborated on database-driven solutions. That analytical background informs her commitment to clear instruction, step-by-step learning, and high expectations for every student.

Philosophy, equity & classroom practice
Neetu believes learning begins with relationships. Her philosophy emphasizes rigorous learning, genuine belonging, and noticing both student voice and silence—especially for quiet learners like she once was. Her equity beliefs center on access, honoring the whole child, and creating varied ways for students to participate and grow.
